Tribute to a Great Austrian Filmmaker

FEMA is proud to present a tribute to one of the major figures in contemporary auteur cinema. Recipient of a multitude of awards worldwide, Michael Haneke is one of the few filmmakers to win two Palmes d’Or at Cannes, for The White Ribbon (2009) and Amour (2012), the latter also an Oscar winner for Best Foreign Language Film. His uniquely powerful works capture reality in its most hidden details, observe the complexity of human beings and unflinchingly examine society’s violence.

FEMA will screen a complete retrospective of his restored feature films, including 5 television films in their first theatrical screening and his 12 cinema films.
